In Norse Mythology the squirrel Ratatoesk lives on the world tree Yggdrasil and delivers the insults between the dragon Nidhogre, who gnaws on the world tree's roots, and the eagle, who lives in the crown of Yggdrasil.
Squirrels belong to my favorite animals. I love their quick and elegant moves. When I learned about the squirrel Ratatoesk I just had to paint it.
